Jas from Austin Windshield Repair came to us looking for a new website design that would help increase sales.  He runs his business Genuine Auto Glass out of Austin, Texas and wants to dominate the market there for people searching for Austin Auto Glass Repair, Austin Windshield Replacement and so on.  He was basically looking for an optimized website that looked good and would do better in the search engines.

With just a little bit of original copy from his one page website we were able to redesign his site with all new content and a new look.  Each page is designed using css/xhtml which is does very good when it comes to ranking well.

Because over 70% of internet sessions start with a search he knew that he needed to be on the first page of Google when someone in Austin, TX did a search for what his business offers.  He was already running Adwords campaigns but knew that he would have to pay those PPC fees forever if he never optimized his site.

Now that his new site is up we’ll be doing some off-page SEO to further build up his backlinks to help his site rank higher.

Doing this should get his site to the first page, if not the top spot.

The structure of your site aids in user navigation as well as helping search engines find and index your pages.

Website structure consists of how you link your web pages together. Everything starts from your home page. Your home page should include visible text links to subcategories of your site. As you can see the top navigation of this page consists of a row of text links. When you follow these links they go to subpages that then link to other subpages related to each category. So under marketing you have several pages such as this one that are linked to.

When a search engine spider visits our homepage it can easily follow the links and in turn find every subpage. But let’s say someone links directly to this page from their site. The search engine spiders following that link will still be able to find every other page of this site because we have a main hierarchical linking structure which flows downward creating a pyramid. The search engines and visitors can easily find their way around using this method.
